Just as a seasonal reminder (yes, I know we've had plenty of those recently), holiday plants are a beautiful way of decorating, but please keep your small children and pets away from them. Both mistletoe and holly are moderately to severely toxic. If either are ingested, please contact the appropriate healer (human or animal) for help and advice. Contrary to popular belief, poinsettia leaves are not severely poisonous, although the sap may cause nausea. Fir tree oil is mildly toxic as well, so it is advisable to keep pets away from the Christmas tree.

Cases like Brianna Hale are the reason I left St. Mungo's. I can only imagine how Pepper is holding up. Healers have been talking about finding a cure for lycanthropy for years. I don't have the training for that, but I understand the obsession to cure the incurable. Not here, though. I wouldn't trust any of my research in Wolfe's hands. Which begs the question of what am I doing here?

I think I'll drop a gift by Ted and Andy's on Saturday while they're out for the party. I hate to miss them, but it's not the day for an argument.

We've settled on Dean and Charlotte.

I told Marianne that a friend from the hospital was dead. We weren't close, and officially she's only missing, but too many people have gone missing and never come back. Merlin, I might just be one of them eventually. I know enough that I wouldn't be surprised if someone decided I was a threat soon. Then again, I can't imagine they have access to many healers. It isn't very compatible with the dark arts.

I didn't go into training in order to become the Death Eaters' personal healer.

It may keep Marianne and the baby safe, but there has to be another way to do that.
